great job, some nice slabbs. pic would be much nicer without the dead bass thought. but good job either way. _________________ "Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after." - Henry David Thoreau |

Hey, great job! I was just wondering what you were jigging,or what you would suggest for bass, as i'm just getting started on the ice. A couple of buddies told me a swedish pimple works good - any thoughts, suggestions would be great. _________________ LESS WHINING,MORE FISHING. |

Hi fg!
Well DirtyDawg just caught his PB.....LMB on a Northland Macho Minnow.
They have a number of jigs and spoons that work very well
I use many of them all year long!

fishinguy - I started a discussion thread about ice fishing jigs, but it appears that others aren't willing to share. In any case, here's a link:
http://www.ctfishtalk.com/ice-fishing-jigs-t6264.html
DirtyDawg10 posted a photo of the jig he was using when he caught his four pound, nine ounce Personal Best largemouth bass last Sunday:
http://www.ctfishtalk.com/nod-brook-wma-upper-pond-01-23-t6273.html
And, no, I didn't give him any grief about using a jig called the "macho minnow". For example, I never said that he's not qualified to use one. And I never gave SeaDog1 any grief for telling Dawg that he should get one. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter!

Actually I caught both of my fish Sunday on a macho minnow. The two smallest sizes to be exact. 1/12oz and 1/8oz. One was a golden shiner pattern and the other was a golden perch pattern. Good luck out there. |
