|
|
Well being its Monday morning and the kids are out of school for the summer where else would I be but LAKE HOUSATONIC. If anyone fishes here in the next couple of days and catches a rather large and REALLY PISSED OFF SMB with a firetiger POP-R in his mouth the fish and the lure would be mine. I got him to the boat and when I went to grab him he went under the boat and broke 10lb test line; I saw him swim away with my favorite lure in his mouth. All and all a good day quite a few SMB and my first LMB of the season; although the LMB was caught in an area where I usually catch only SMB. Water temp was 71 degrees. cmorjoe |

Too bad on the lure,..especially if it was a productive one! At least you caught some fish though! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Joe, congrats on getting some. Just get another like it and catch that sucker again! Same thing happened to me several years ago on a small pond where I lost the fish at the boat. Went back there the following weekend to get him again and there it was floating in the water along the shoreline. The fish eventually spat it out and went on its' way. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

Although I wasn't thrilled I lost a good lure my biggest concern was the health of the fish. This was a VERY NICE SMB. I sure hope he lives. cmorjoe |

Joe, I'm sure in most cases the fish eventually work the lures out of their mouths just like mine did. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
