I may be there tomorrow. Seems to be the only place that I can depend on for quantity. The pads along the train tracks are always good for at least a half dozen cookie cutters. Bring your frog. _________________ Kira

Fresh out of frogs but been having luck running tubes over the lilies so we will see if that continues to work. Thanks for the tip, maybe see you there. |

How do you rig a tube to drag it over pads? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

John - Decided not to go since the WIND woke me up this morning. Hope you brought an anchor with you.
Phil - T-rigged EWG hooks work decent with tubes around cover. _________________ Kira

Kira - the wind definitely was a problem. Managed 12 fish with a couple slime darts mixed in, Biggest was about 2.5 pounds. Only fish the shore along the railroad tracks and couldn't deal with the wind on the way back so called it an early day. Did have a couple right on the edge of the lilies, may have followed the tubes over the top. Most caught on tubes and one on shallow crankbait. |

Easy Peco, you texas rig it like you would a worm. Use a 2/0 EWG worm hook, once you push the hook trough the tube, skin hook the point back into the outside of the tube making it weedless. It's pretty versatile, you can skip this under docks, pull it through fallen trees, brushpiles, deep weeds, etc without ever hanging up. You can use a bullet weight if you want it to sink, or fish it weightless. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Got on water about 10 of 5pm. Took a cast at launch and got a small pic. worked railroad side up and between me and my buddy we caught about 15 or so fish. Some on wacky worm and some still coming up to top for some great hits. Nothing big but keep you busy. Alot of rain and alot of wind but there arent mant warmer days left. thwe place seems better than in past years. |
