fished from 6:30-7:30am and picked up 3 lmb. all around 2 lbs and caught on a jigs off the deep weed edge.
started off throwing a frog in the weeds and nothing. missed one on a sluggo and another on the worm. |

Were you swimming the jig or dragging it on the bottom? What size and color? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

used a green twin tail spider grub on a black or camo spot stalker jig head.
most fish take it on the fall. once it hit bottom, i let it sit, hop it once or twice and sit again before reeling in. i am targetting the weed edge so most of the time it is in our around the weeds.
if i fish the pads, i let it drop in a hole, let it sit, yoyo it a little, sit and reel in. |

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure jigs out. I hooked a couple of smallies on a jig in fast water, including one that was about three pounds, but I let both of them thrash themselves off the hook next to the boat. I'm gonna keep trying, though. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
