Hit Candy with my buddy Jamie about 7am. Nothin huge, but a good day none the less. Dropped the trolling motor right in squantz and hit 2 LMB on the first 15 casts runiing a spinnerbait over the weeds. spinnerbait would be the hot bait for us as I got 8 or so keepers and a few rats. Unfortunatly, I lost the blade on my 1/2 oz Booyah when a smallie jumped with it. So , I tied on one of Kane's black and gold DWs and proceeded to get 2 bass in 10 casts..Man, I am thinking I am gonna slay it now. Then, taking off a rat LM, knot breaks and I lost that spinner as well....Now, I am down to crap spinners as I rarely throw them. That would pretty much be the end of the bite for us. Grabbed a rouge smallie on a wiggle wart off a rock point. Best fish came in pretty shallow water between rocks on the shore and the weedbed 25 feet off shore....Saw Dean at the launch. Did you catch em, buddy?

After reading all of the smallie posts lately, I'm dying to catch some. Thanks. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

if you want some monster smallies, fish mansfield hollow at night, espically around the island right in front of the boat launch |
