I fished from the far right of the boat launch. The water was choppy for awhile, but not horrible. I had a Carolina rigged white shad, a chartreuse plastic swimtail thingy and a weedless frog in my rotation. Nothing was biting except mosquitoes.
The water got calm around 7:30 so I switched to a red & black buzzbait. Got my first and only strike on the 2nd cast. Very unexpected...the lake had few ripples on the surface in comparison to the other 3 places I night-fished in the past week. I didn't see any topwater splashing at all while I was there (with the one exception.)
I stringered it so I could find my camera and set up the automatic timer. No takers on the buzzbait after the bass was released.

WTG Kira! Went there last Friday after work with SkeeterRon and got 8 fishing from 5:30-7:30 with a spinnerbait & crankbait. Final tally = 5 LM bass, 2 black crappie and a pickeral in a pear tree! _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!

I've fished 5 different places in the past week - Lower Bolton, Pickerel, Wethersfield Reservoir, Silver & Lower Moodus. If today's sunburn isn't too painful, I may try a 6th one tomorrow. _________________ Kira
