Went fishing with my on today. He caught a bunch of blue gills and while he was realing one in, I saw a nice 4lber chase his fish. I had one of my rods in the truck, so I took the blue gill and put it on a hook. I threw the bg in the water and left my rod on a prop. My son was fishing with his rod when I noticed my line going out. I grabbed my rod, waited about 20 seconds (longest 20 seconds of my life) then set the hook. I landed this fatty, 4.2lbs on my berkley digital. I haven't caught a good fish like this in a long time. Good times.

thanks. He has been sick and basically confined to the house. We watched fishing shows this a.m. and by 9am he was begging to go, so I took him. We hit CT Outfitters for some night crawlers andI bought him a new shimano voltaeus plus a daiwa silver cast 80 reel. The new combo worked great and my son as quite happy.. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

of course phish. I was fishing from shore so he got pulled through some mud and leaves thats why he had the dirt around his mouth. I put him the water and he darted away. It was a real healthy fish. Put up a hell of a fight. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

I figured as much. It was the 2nd photo that had me wondering. Kinda looked like one of those photos in front of the house before the filet knife comes out. Hey, even if you had eaten it, that's your right...I was just curious. Pretty fish. Looks heavier than 4 lbs. Great job. |

I was fishing at a condo complex but don't live there.i catch and release all fresh water fish . I will keep saltwater fish like Tuna, striper, fluke, sea bass, black fish, durado, and occasionally a mako (but i hate harvesting sharks, even though Mako is my favorite fish to eat).
The second photo was actually the first 1 took. I was fishing from shore, caught the bass and ran to my truck to get the scale. We weighed it while my son was holding it, then took another couple of pictures and sent it on its way. It was back in the water in 2 minutes.
I don't know anyone that eats large mouth, I tried it once and it tasted like swamp. The only freshwater fish I ever tried and liked was catfish. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.
