Before this BIG cold snap I did some fishing over the Christmas holidays and had some good luck fishing a jiggin spoon. Fished Lake Monticello, a 7500 acre lake just North of Columbia, SC. Water temps were 48- 51. Bass were in about 35ft of water on the end of tapering points. Many white perch were caught as well. Nothing huge, just good solid fish. Had best luck with a Cotton Cordel 1/2oz spoon.
It has been VERY cold down in SC with I think about 30 straight days of below normal temps. The lakes are even beginning to get some ice on them in the coves. Hopefully it will warm up soon and I can get back out there again.

Fishing around the holidays in only a sweatshirt would be alright by me. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |
