Pointing dog pulled Justin Tralli in for a substitute in my place to fish this one, I was at the Cape for an anniversary getaway weekend. So the weights are not going to be exact, this is what I was told or there abouts.
Conditions:
water temp. about 67 to 70 degrees
air temp. low 70's
drizzly to rainy with a light wind at times
Most fish were hunkered down and not actively feeding or chasing anything, they were relating to laydown wood and wooden docks. Pointing dog and Justin caught fish on topwater, tubes, senko, and a jig. A few others caught them on senkos, spinnerbaits, rattletraps, and worms.
John and John won with 9 and change for 5 fish
Pointing dog and Justin T. took 2nd place with 7-12 for 5 fish
Mike S. and Rich B. came in 3rd with 7-11 for 5 fish / ouch that must have hurt
John and John had a 3+ largie for lunker
There were a couple 2+ smallies weighed in as well. There were only 3 -5 fish limits weighed in, and the rest struggled to catch them in tough rainy cold front conditions.
That's all I've got, our next outing is at Lake Mashapaug on Oct. 11th. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |
