Well today brang another trip to the gym for a kick butt workout them off to pcikeral lake. Started slow (nothing first two hours) then as we rounded the corner from the dam i smacked a nice four pounder on 8 lb test in the grass with a missing "eye liner" on my last eye of the rod. That was fun to land this one...then we proceed to drift down the bank staying out off the outside edge of the grassline and casting into inside edge with senkos (t rig) and the kids had a blast smacking them. They landed 7 bass inall between them while i got two,the big-un and a nice fatty near the ramp on a buzzbait. My nephew tried the spook jr again and missed a nice fish on it,again near the ramp.
Fished from 4-815pm 9 keepers (no pickeral!),water was VERY WARM 86 deg with lite winds and sunny skies. Not a fan of the new "stringweed" they have there really f-s up the trolling motor. Also i noticed alot of "interesting people" that love to drink living on this lake.....
Last day is tomm, either bolton or coventry again.
Johnny

Good job Johnny,...I'm actually surprised that you could even get your boat in there this time of year! It's usually a thick mat of weeds all around the ramp in the summer,....you pull your trailer out and it looks like "the creature from the black lagoon" with all the stuff hanging from it! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
If it wasn't for that,..I'd fish there a lot more cause there definitely are a lot of fish in the 4-6lb range in that place!! Wink
BTW,..how come no pics...I'd have let you borrow my camera if I'd have known you were too cheap to have one of your own!! Razz A few pics of "fishcamp" would probably mean a lot to you and/or your nephews as time goes by!! Wink
