fished for a few hours this morning with some success. caught 8 lmb with the largest going 2.5 lbs. all caught on jigs off the shoreline. threw some other stuff (senko's, worms and sluggo's) without success. would have fished longer but was worried my batteries wouldn't get me back to the ramp...the typical winds were present.

fished beseck yesterday morning, with no success. let the other boat take the outlet/dam and i fished the north end...guess i should have gone the other way...

Nice job at Quonni Stu. I found it to be pretty tough that day,...only managed a handful of small ones on a flick-shake and then one that was slightly over 3 on a T-rig worm! (My only jig-bites were a couple of pickeral! )

Nice job w/ the jig.......How do you like the flick-shake setup just4fun...?? I've been playing with it a little and caught a few fish but haven't developed anything with it yet..

Hi Joe,..welcome to the forum!

The FS has been a go-to technique for me for a couple of years now and has kept me from skunking many-a-time! I highly recommend getting some of the original Jackall worms (5") though, at least until you get some confidence. The Jackall worms are expensive, but they do work a little better than anything else,...sort of like original senkos! Make sure that you're using a light weight (I normally use 1/16th jigheads) and fish them on a slack line,..fish spit them as soon as they feel any resistance for some reason! Also I've found that a sweep hookset is what works best with those little jigheads!

One trick I've found to make the worms last a little longer,......
Whenever you catch a fish,..take the worm off the hook and then poke it back through the worm in a slightly different spot to keep it snug! Doing this I can sometimes get 4 or 5 fish off a single worm!

okay. so i had to google flick shake to find out what you guys are talking about.
good to hear these new techniques 2-3 years later... last one i picked up was drop shotting and that was from just4fun as well. just getting the feel for jigging...

hope the i can get out tomorrow morning for an hour before work...
