well we had to choose to fish two of the three days fri,sat,sun. We chose to fish sat/sun due to a 20kt wind.after our 60 mile run to the stream we laid out our spread ,8/9 lines.As soon as the lines were out bam ,fish on.we had a small wahoo 26#s [needed 25 # to get on the board],good fish.We trolled the rest of the day getting 13 mahi up to 18 #s ,at 3:00 it was lines out ,so we motored to the weigh in.When we got our fish to the scale the wahoo was 24.7#sIT LOST 1.3#s over the day,no other hoos were caught so it didnt make the min and we would have won for the day. .The mahi was close ,butt there was several 18-19 #ers on the board.
Day two slow start ,fast finish nothing great a 20#hoo /some peanut mahi. Around 1:30 we find a floating chunk of wood,big like a chest.We trolled the area and got slammed by some nice bulls all between 20-28#s.We hit that area hard until 3:00 lines out getting 4/missing2 nice mahi.so we chugged the 2.5 hour ride to the weigh in putting up the 28# mahi only to be in second,until a 34 knocked us out of the game. all said and done...........we lost,but got alot of GOOD EATIN'
