Fished 645- 1230
Partly Sunny

This was the first time my buddy and I fished this area before. Not a bad start with catching my first bass of the year to the right of the island. (Shut out in what i call preseason). Finished the day with 2 Bass 1.5- 2.5 pounds 3 yellow perch.

My buddy caught 4 Bass same sizes as mine. We caught them on white and yellow spinners and some crank baits in the deeper area. All in all ...nothing great in terms of size of fish, but it was nice to be out there! Let the season begin!!! Very Happy

Pickeral are the long green skinny fish with all the really sharp teeth. It sounds like you got a couple yellow perch, or sunfish. Don't ever try to lip a pickeral or northern pike unless you want a nice gash in your thumb.
