Sevnseat, You are not doing anything wrong. Fishing a shallow river is alot like jig fishing.....if you're not getting caught up you're not casting to where they live! Smallies use rocks, logs, etc as a current break so that is where they're gonna be. If it is shallow enough to get caught can't you wade over to where you are snagged and undo it? If from shore sometimes walking upriver of the snag will sometimes loosen it. Also try fishing a little more weedless stuff like a t-rigged tube or a spinnerbait. _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
