Fished Crystal last night in the kayak from ~6:00 to 9:00PM. Water was quite calm, with almost no wind and the water was really clear. Not sure of water temps as I didn't bring the fish finder.
Had some decent action early on a Pop-R with a 3lbs pickerel the first fish and a 2lbs. bass for the second fish. The bass was really skinny, as many of them in the lake seem to be.
Rest of the action was near 9:00pm and consisted of small bass or rock bass on a jointed jitterbug.
I think that'll be the last after work trip of the year with the sun setting early and the temps getting quite cool. |

I hear that on the after work fishing,...I think today may be my last trip out after work in the kayak! It's just getting a little too cool in the evenings to be sitting there fishing with cold/wet feet! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
