I had the morning off from work so I hit Pataconk in my kayak yestarday from about 7 until about 10:30......
Nothing giant, but the fishing was good,..... I caught 13 bass that ranged from 1-lb up to about 3-lbs! I caught all of them on either a black jig or a T-rigged worm (motor-oil color). The only other bait I tried was a dropshot and surprisingly did not get bit on it, so I put it down after a while and stuck with the other two baits for the rest of the time. It looked like the bite might be increasing slightly as the rain got closer,..but the size was staying the same, so I decided to quit before it got ugly.
Just as I was putting the kayak on top of my Jeep, the first raindrops started to fall and by the time I got to work it was pouring out,..so I timed it perfectly! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
