Had a couple of hours to burn and needed to pick up my kids near Meriden, so I hopped over to Spring Lake for 2 hours on Monday evening. Still a little choked with weeds, but it's getting a little better. Saw a number of fish busting the surface near the shore at various places. Caught a couple of LMB dinks on Senkos and broke off a decent one. Missed one too. The water was muddy and it seemed like the bites I got were in areas that had pockets of "cleaner" water near structure. Caught one off an old dock and the other off of some rocks. I've only been to that lake twice now, so I certainly don't "know" it by any means, but it seems to have some areas that look perfect for bass. |
