Been a while since I had time to post a report...Been fishing Winchester a bit this summer...Usually can go up and catch 8-10 cookie cutter bass without much of an issue...Today was a total change though....Water temp was 74 most of the time....Fished 5-7PM....Partly cloudy skies and NO wind...
Cought 3 bass, best going about 2 lbs....Nothing worthy of a pic...Partner did not fare well at all...1 tiny bass and 2 perch is all he could muster....They did not want the usual cranks and colors that have produced all summer...Gold wiggle wart ripped along in 3-4 foot of water got the most action....Many people talk of this lake being a pain to fish, and I can see why now.....
Wonder if the lack of wind kept the fish at bay?
Later,
