Let me know what you all want to do.

I am looking at Saturday October 4th for the next field day tournament. I am thinking Gardner lake for you lake guys who don't like the river. They just totallly reworked the launch ramp and parking areas, and there will be plenty of room for our after picnic in the upper parking area. Again I have to see what is available on this date, Gardner may already be spoken for.

Let's have some input on location, saturday or sunday, 3, 5 fish limit, or we could do a split bag tourney, a 5 fish limit but 1 fish must be a smallmouth, or you just weigh in 4 largemouths. Do you want a 6 or 7am start time? I'm thinking a 7am, due to setting the clocks back.

Let me know what you think?

Gardner is fine with me,..but wherever it is, having a lot of room in the parking lot is key! Other places with nice parking lots are: Pachaug, Mansfield & Amos.

Mark, I agree all good choices. I think getting this carved in stone, and up on the board early are key, as most tournament fisherman already have tight schedules way in advance.

Sunrise on Oct 4th isn't until 6:49AM,..so I'd say that a 7AM start will be plenty early enough! Cool

Im definetly in for Gardner. I hate not being able to move around Amos with the outboard. Not to mention that place is so freakin small. Can we do it beofre October?? Plenty of good weekends in between. Id like to do something in August or September.

We should do an actual event. 5 fish, 8 hours.

Hey Gary, how about this tournament, we do a draw event matching boaters with non-boaters?? That would be fun. I'd like to help put this together too. There arent many draw events anymore.

What do ya think guys? Its a great way to meet some new people and also learn alittle something from someone different.

I tried to set up a draw tourney a little while ago and there was almost no one interested,..however I still like the idea. Either way, I'm probably in for Aug 16th anywhere east of the river.

Amos is a nice lake to fish,..but it really is a little too small if there's more than about half a dozen boats! (however,..that seems to be about all that we draw at these events anyway!! Rolling Eyes )

There is no speed limit on amos after June something.. Smile

And i GUARANTEE that the bags would be heavier even with the size of the lake at Amos than at Gardner..

But its your deal, do as you wish!

I dunno. That place is like a pond and the launch stinks. The tournament you held there was fun but I felt like I was fishing used water all day. It was like a merry-go-round......Hell Dusty you know about those! Smile Dont you still ride them?? Wink jk

I agree with the weight thing though....I just this Gardner would be easier and we have a MUCH better launch!

Are you guys afraid of candlewood, all I see you guys wanting to fish are these small lakes and ponds, I dont get it, especially when I see these guys with some of these rigs, why dont you just have a tourny from shore with no boats and go for bluegill, granted these smaller lakes produce some good fish but dont you get sick of always seeing a boat when you fish these smaller lakes that you are fishing against, shit lets have a tourny on LAKE CHAMPLAIN or even Hudson River Hudsons only 1.5 hours away
