I got out on Cedar lake yestarday for a few hours after work. I was alternating between a jig, a dropshot and a swimabait. Got nothing on the swimbait but picked up a couple on the jig and 4 or 5 on the dropshot. The biggest fish (~3lbs) was on the dropshot,..but I was pleased to see that there was at least a little bit of a jig-bite as well!
I saw lots of beds but couldn't make out any fish on them and the only bites I got around the beds were from bluegills,..so I don't know whether that means they are done spawning there or not,..
The 3-lber though, looked like a fat female and was caught in 4-6 FOW on the first drop off of the shallows and had no marks on the tail or fins,..so go figure!! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

It's starting to come up and thicken in the shallows,..but it still has quite a ways to go! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
