I fished 3 lakes today with my friend John.
First lake 11am ......sucked no fish and windy as all hell so we left around 3:00
Second lake..... Lakeville we pulled in and looked at the lake.........whitecaps everywhere and nowhere to hide........didnt even bother launching...
so far 2 lakes- no fish, but my new motor worked great...
Redemption at Mudge Pond. 4pm-730pm
water temps 63-65
fished holes in the pads (which are up nicely) and thats where the bass were. we both were fishing small jigs with chigger craw trailers. saw beds with no fish on em. i went 3/6 and john went 1/2 as i was teaching him a couple things with jigs. all the fish were skinny and i think may have been post spawn. lots of little fish everywhere. Nice job on the catching,..but I still think they're prespawn (largemouths that is,..) most places. I still only see just a very few beds and no fish with scuffed up tails yet! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
