Hit Bantam with my bud Jamie(punchin fish) for a few afternoon hours 2-5 in the rain. Rained most of the time. Managed 5 small bass(mostly smallies) and an "airborne" perch(at least I think it was, it was moving pretty fast and came off on the other side of the boat) of about 6" that fell victim to a huge hook set. He lived on to fight another day though. Happy to report that Jamie landed his first Pike(hammer-handle, but a pike none the less) and lost a pretty good bass during the fight to the boat. Tourny should be a fun one this weekend....Good luck guys.
Weather: Raining and damn cold
Water: 58-59 and clear with emerging weeds in the coves.
Time 2-5 PM
Bass: 5

Funny you say that, when the weather broke at the end of the day, the bite just shut off....I was hoping for more rain.....
