Hit Rogers yesterday from 7am to 2 PM with my buddy Kevin.
Weather: Rainy morning with cloudy afternoon
Water temp 62.5
Clarity 1-2 ft
Weeds: Emerging, but few on the surface.
Nothing in the pads or the northern cove....All fish off the 2nd island moving north and the adjecent coastline
I hit 6 bass all in the 2-3 pound range. All nice, healthy, tough fighting fish.... Some were bed fish and some were off the shore suspending in about 5 ft of water in the weeds. Cought a short on a black spinner, one on a weightless baby bass Senko, but the hot lure was a DT4 crank in Hot Mustard of all colors being ripped out of the weeds...Seemed a bit loud for the clear water, but they were hammering it. Here is the best one I got into the boat.
My partner Kevin cought, no lie, 21 pickeral....Thats it...not one bass...All small, but boy were they prolific....They loved the jerk bait....so I got him to change to a regular crank, and he still cought em....
Now that I think about it, no one in the back of my boat has cought a bass!
All in all, a great day for my first on Rogers....I'll be back soon!
Tight lines
Brennan

I wouldn't tell that to your future tournament partners!
