Was bringing my boat to my buddy's in Coventry to have some work done on it, so I decided to hit Bolton for a couple of hours on my way out there last night. One of the BAWS guys met me out there. Fished from 5:30-7:30. It got a little chilly once the sun got lower in the sky. Since my Garmin depth finders are both POS, I have no idea what the water temp was. I'd guess low-mid 50's. Good thing I'm putting a Lowrance on my boat tonight. Started fishing our favorite area of the lake. Took about 45 mins for my buddy to get our first fish - a solid 2 lber on a grub. I got my first of the night about 10 mins later on a jig-n-pig. Fish went about 1.5 lbs. Before the night was over, I picked up two more bass, biggest just under 2 lbs. My buddy got the one bass and a decent pickerel while trolling on our way back to the ramp. The bass all game in 4-8 feet near rocks. Felt good to snap some hooksets on the jig. 4 keeper bass in 2 hours in mid-April, I'll take that all day. _________________ Bringing Along Weighty Sacks
