They are all over ebay. Some cheaper prices. Why is this such a popular reel? _________________ Thar aint NO fish in here !!!!!!!! |

^^Because it is awesome.
A friend of mine gave me a stradic 2500 last year. The reel cast better than any other spinning reel I have ever had. It has a good spool capacity so I can use it for LMB and blue/stripers. The drag is real smooth. Great anti reverse. I highly recommend the reel. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

Like most shimano reels they are very good and very dependable!
For years, I rarely used spinning gear when all I had were cheaper reels. I was pretty much convinced that I just hated fishing with spinning tackle. Then one day, I picked up a used Stradic just because it was a very good price. The first day that I used it out on the water,..I came home and started shopping for a second one! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

I have a 2500, and a 4000 that used all year in the salt and they held up extremely well. All I did was hose them down after I got home and nothing else. I'm trying to set up a few other rigs with some stradics. I may look into a symetre for some freshwater only rods. |
