After going to a doc at Hawley Lane, I rode my bike with my backpack and gear to Twin Brooks, arriving just before 6.
Started at the lower end of the upper pond but only had bluegills tapping and following a HJ-6.
Hit a few spots at the main pond with no luck.
Worked most areas of the larger pond with a Tiny Torpedo. Varied the retrieve. Got 1 explosion while doing a steady retrieve. Then when I'm working the lure near weeds and pads by giving it a jerk every full second, I get a nice bass to come right up and take it. Set the hook and the fight was on. It took very little line out but kept pulling. Got it in and was happy to land a 17.5" 2 pound 14 ounce largemouth. Belly was chubby and color was very nice.
Never got into anything else at Twin Brooks before leaving around 7:20
