Fished Mixville Pond today. Caught a brook trout in the second pond in the back with earthworms I dug up. Also caught a turtle in the same pond. Hehe. Sent them both back home. I get a lot of bites in the main pond but can't land any fish. They keep taking my bait. Anyone else fishing this pond I would like to know what other fish are here and what are you using to land them? |

Went to Mixville late morning to the back pond. Caught a Black Crappie, a Yellow Perch and a Yellow Bullhead before leaving at 130pm. A good day fishing and a nice variety of fish caught. |

I think it was actually a Brown Bullhead after closer examination [/img] |

Scored four fish this evening at Mixville. 2 Bluegill, 1 Yellow Perch and a nice size Black Crappie. Sent them all back into the pond to catch another day. |

I have family in Cheshire so I stop by Mixville every once in a while. Best spot for me is right at the beginning of the 2nd pond, I throw a T-rigged lizard or a jig/trailer along the reedy edge near the little spillway between ponds. I always seem to pull at least a cookie cutter bass from that spot. I'd love to get a canoe or yak in there! |

Landed five Yellow Perch and 1 Bluegill this evening using nightcrawlers and red worms. Tried different lures and jigs with no effect. Still looking to land some trout or bass. |

Caught two Yellow Perch today in the rain. Small in size. Used red worms. Fishing was slow. |
