Adding an Avatar

What is an avatar? An avatar is a graphic or image that is displayed under your user name, at the left side of your posts.

The width can be no greater than 250 pixels, the height no greater than 250 pixels, and the file size no more than 20k.

To resize your avatar go here and choose the pixel size you would like

once you upload it to the site and click "resize picture now" it will bring you to your avatar to download.

Choosing an Avatar
1. Log-in to the message board
2. Click the my profile link under CTFishTalk logo
3. scroll to bottom section "Avatar control panel"
5. After choosing your avatar, click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page.

Maybe I'm missing something. So far I understand that I need to resize my avavtar to 250 x 250 but, on the resizing sites. It doesn't shrink a pic down that small. From the technologically unadvanced....Thanks in advance!!!

How the heck can I get a avatar on my profile? I'm trying to use a picture from my Galaxy S3 phone? PLEASE HELP ME.

Im having the same problem as Billysenko. Can you not upload a avatar on a phone and i have to do it on a laptop? I have a picture on my phone and according to my phone it is less then 250x250x20kb but it keeps telling me "avatar must be less then 25kb" if i figure it out before i hear from anybody on here ill post how i did it for anyone else that might have this problem.

Well I switched to my tablet and went to the site they suggest for resizing and it worked. so maybe you just can't upload your avatar from a phone.
