Wednesday afternoon I hit Twin Brooks. 3 lures I stuck with most of the time were the #1 Mepps Dressed Aglia, yellow perch XRP-7, and bleeding copper flash F-7.
The bite was pretty slow, but did catch a dinky yellow with the F-7 and a dinky bluegill with the Mepps. Had a few swirls and hits while doing the slow walk the dog with the XRP-7.
Later I hit Bunnells Pond. Tried throwing the silver shad JSR-4 out from the rocks and also the XRP-7 in shallow and weedy areas but no luck. Did end up catching 2 crappie no bigger than 9" with the tennessee shad HJ-6. |
