After member mikeyinstfd and I left the Pequonnock, we hit Great Hollow Lake.
Our first stop lost me the Baby Torpedo the pickerel were going nuts for. Neither one of us got something there.
Later we went to check out more spots which is when I decided to play topwater with a brown trout FLR-6 and Mike was throwing soft plastics.
One spot caught me 2 cookie cutters and Mike had 2 hits.
Our last stop is where we ran into a school of crappie. I was slamming them with the FLR-6 so Mike switched over to an original pearl shad FLR-6 but was doing a different retrieve as me. I landed 4 with 2 being slabs around a pound. Mike had a number of hits and swirls but didn't set the hook on any.
We hit the road just after 3pm |
