Monday I decided to check a few places out to see what the rain and temps have done to them. First stop around 12:30pm was the funeral home but saw the ice was very very skim.
Next I went to the ice out pond but saw the entire pond still had about 1 inch of ice covering it.
Last was Twin Brooks Park where I saw a number of open areas thanks to the flow of Booth Hill Brook.
A few lures I played around with included brook trout X-Rap XR-4, hot tiger Jointed Shad Rap JSR-4, custom painted X-Rap Shad Shallow XRSH-6, helsinki shad Husky Jerk HJ-6, silver shad JSR-4, tennessee olive shad Clackin Minnow CNM-9, yellow perch HJ-6, and a chartreuse 1/8 ounce maribu jig rigged with a 1" soft plastic crayfish.
The only thing that happened was had a trout come shooting up for the XR-4 before it went back down.
Hit the road around 4pm |
