Any recommendations for a pond/lake to take a 9 year old boy for his first experience with ice fishing in CT?

If you're in the area, Tyler lake. Very good fishing there, never have been skunked. Tips ups will get you tons of pickerel and jigging will get you in a lot of perch and crappie.

If you don't care about what 's the catch try Bolton Lake.Use small and medium shiners and you will have flag after flag small pickeral and largemouth will slam the bait.Good luck and stay safe!
