Well Onzo and I got there at 6:15 AM. There was little to no bite in the 1st hour and a half. We cruised the shoreline by the beach and got our first hook up. Onzo grabbed the pole from the holder in the back of the boat and said "doesn't feel like much". Then it was on! After a good 3 minute fight Onzo finally got his first salmon! A healthy 23" 5.5lber!
Cruised to the far side and finally after another hour had another fish on. We were hoping for another salmon from the fight but as I reeled in we were disappointed to see the large mouth and green body. It was a hefty 18" 3.5 lb largemouth. We through it back with disgust.
Went back to the beach area (by the way, it was friggen cold!) and we hooked into a 16" Rainbow.
Overall we had a good time considering the lack of action and the cold/drizzle/rain/wind.
Until the ice comes. I'll be stayin local. Ball Pond and Squantz. _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |
