Today was essentially my only window to get out in the next 10 days or so with work and family commitments on the table. Called my buddy as I knew he had today off, we hit the rock piles for togs. Little to virtually no wind today Very Happy , made for easy backing in and getting tight to the rocks. Was in 10' - 15' of H2O. Was a little slow to start, then had the typical tog blitz for about 30 mins or so. A lot of shorts, one keeper and two missed togzillas that will haunt me. One snapped my line (chaffed from the rocks, serves me right for not checking). Other one just flat snapped my 30lb braid. All fished on the incoming, crabs of the Asiatic persuasion were used. Two nice fillets for one of the secretaries at the office, she'll be very pleased.

Went back to my buddy's club, had a real nice lunch and a few distilled beverages. My phone starts lighting up with text messages, another buddy wants to hit the incoming. We each only had two hours. Forecast on Ch. 12 was for E/SE winds, 10-15, 2-3' seas. Did not sound appetizing in a 16' Whaler. Drove by the water, looked essentially flat so off we went. Found a pod of bunker just off the beach, snagged one, severed in one bite just behind the head, just missing my snagger, fed a blue his early dinner. Pod was tiny and on the move for fear of their lives, did not have time to play hide and seek. Snagged two more and then out to 35'. Essentially could not keep the lines in the water, screamers on every drop. All fish over 10lbs, had one beast just beside the boat, he took off on a blistering run and then chewed through a new wire leader. Missed a smoker on a head, came back unscathed, I'll leave it at that. All in all, good times, quality Fall fishing!!

Headed in and low and behold the pod happens to be in the path of entrance to the breakwall. Snagged one, two seconds later, inhaled by an 8lb blue, love to catch them on live bunker, good fun. Had to get in as the sun was setting.

Great day, great weather and a lot of fun fishing.

All fished in the V/O Bridgeport Harbor.

Tight Lines!!
