I'm pretty sure it is but I thought they were supposed to have red eyes? I've never caught one before. Got it at West Side Pond in Goshen tonight. Same coloration as a crappie pretty much. Profile was very square compared to the rounder shape of a crappie. This guy was around 11" or so. _________________ Fishing brings out the kid in all of us |

You got it right.....rock bass!usually black pupil and red outer Sclera. _________________ ...Randy...

That's a rock bass. Fun fish on light tackle. At the beginning they hit the lure hard and pull hard, but pretty soon give up. They also hit topwaters. State record is 1 pound 3 ounces. |
