Fishied Candy both days.
Saturday was rough, in the 40's winds 20-30mph along with rain. Waves on average 2'. Water temp 67f.
The good new is with all the rain the algae bloom was good with the rain.
Only caught one SBM, roughly 2lbs. On a swimbait.
Sunday, lite wind 10mph, water temp 64f, clear day. Caught two fish both on swimbait, co-angler caught two on a drop shot.
Rough weekend |

Sounds like the conditions were rough to say the least. I've never fished there. Are there any shore access points to fish from? |

Catching a fish is better than not catching one. Both are reality of most fisherman.
Sounds like you had a good day out, regardless of the # of fish caught etc. |

Doc,
I honestly don't know if there is any place to shore fish. _________________ Sleep...Eat...Fish!!!!! Then do it all over again. |

There isn't many, maybe over in the north west upper corner by Squarts pond.
In general, Candlewood is a residential lake, tons of houses around and limited access. Which makes it quite unappealing for me, when I fish I like to see nature/not houses/people/cars.
