We came out first for 14.73 lbs.
The weight was low that night. I got them on the floating crawfish beaver baits before dark but then we went to the black swimjig into dark. They did not want to hit topwater. My buddy said because of the bright moon.
Anyone ever heard of that before, bright moon no topwater ?
I like using these new baits.

I won't even go fishing on a full moon night .
It also applies to striper fishing on the surf.
Learned this many years ago by trial and error
congrats on 1st

Absolutely
the darker a night is the better when fishing shallow. |
