Hit the evening tide Tuesday hoping for taylor action. Arrived at the sandbar around 5:30pm and fished it til 8:45pm or so.
Lures I threw included pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10, glass ghost Clackin Minnow CNM-11, flake blue Max Rap MXR-13, moss back shiner Clackin Minnow CNM-9, blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, chrome Skitter Pop SP-9, shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7, 3/4 ounce Krocodile, flake ayu MXR-13, original pearl shad FLR-10, and 3/8 ounce Krocodile.
All I felt was what might have been a fluke swipe at the flake blue MXR-13. Other than that no other hits.
Water temp was warmer closer to shore. As I made my way farther out during dead low the water seemed to be cooler and saw much more bait. Saw 2 boats staying at the marker for a while doing what seemed to be fluke drifting. |
