Heard this weekend the full moon will be closer to the earth. Will this make striper fishing even better than a regular full moon? |

Yes, tonight is the full moon and it is the closet it will be to earth for the year. Stronger tides means faster moving water and it should improve the striper fishing during daylight. However the night time bite may not be as good since there's hardly any cloud cover tonight and that could make the bass a little harder to catch. That rule generally refers to surfcasting since the bass are in shallow and all the light from the moon can make it difficult to get them to bite... _________________ Got em!! |

From what Im seeing and hearing most bass are out in deeper waters right now. I went out this morn for low tide and it took forever for the water to come back in, was slack for a long time! Those fishing sandbars will get more time but typically there isnt much action when the water isnt moving. Presentation of your bait or what have it will be more important. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
