Has anyone caught channel cats out of this pond? I guess the state has stocked it for a couple years in a row. I am trying to get my kids hooked into some decent size fish so they stay interested. Any ideas for a bait that will work on these and not catch panfish? |

You may be better at the boat launch down the road I use to catch really big channels down there, it's hit or miss though. I stopped there once or twice and didn't get much at fresh water _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"

Thanks guys. We are going to try fishing in the CT river instead. Does anyone know a bait shop that has mackerel in the Enfield area? |

I know Yankee bait is down the street, but I don't know if they sell mackerel. _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"

Just remembered another bait.
Raw shrimp left in fridge for a while before rotting and becoming smelly. |
