Can anyone tell me any lakes where you can catch carp in good numbers? I love fighting them so i want to try to catch them with light line. Thx |

Mirror Lake in Meriden. There are some really big carp in there. Chum the water with 2 hand fulls of corn and put 2 or 3 kernels on the hook. Use a size 4 or 6 hook and only a tiny split shot. Carp feel the weight quickly so make sure the split shot is very small. Cover the barb with the corn or the fish will spit it out. Good luck. |

Thx for the tips, I am willing to travel anywhere in ct for a nice doze of fun. I will try out mirror lake for sure as soon as i have time and post report after.
Other lakes and tips are welcomed anytime. |

Saw a 5lber floating in Lilli this past weekend. Saw a big 15 or so pounder chilling in some fallen tree rubble. Lilli, Candlewood, and i've heard theres big ones in batterson pond. Not familiar with carp but sounds like as long as you chum the water well they'll come around. |
