Hey guys I have been hitting one of my favorite local spots once a week for a few weeks now. I haven't had any big number days but I have had some large mouth none the less. This pond gets pretty weed choked so its heavy line flipping type place for the most part. The fish are 4lb+ each with the last one being my PB at 5lb 8oz. Just wish I wasn't alone and got a decent picture! Anyway heres the pics:

Nice catches, quality is always better than quantity if you ask me. You using jig and pig or trailer. _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"

The first fish was a jig. The big guy was on a netbait lizard. Look at jig rig hooks. I have had good luck with them. _________________ Never Stop Learning |

I know where that place is! Mums the word LOL! Fished there many times. Some nice fish come outa there. It does get weed choked. That's for sure. I'm surprised they haven't started yet.

Long meadow is a hellava secret lol. It is starting to get weeded already but honestly I love that kinda of fishing. Some heavy braid and rip them through the weeds. _________________ Never Stop Learning |

I used to take my Freedom Hawk w/55lb motor out there. It was a trip catching bass there and have them run under the yak. _________________ Don't hold your farts in! They travel up your spine to your brain and thats where shitty ideas come from. |

Was this really long meadow? I am from naugatuck and I tried to fish there once but there was way to many lily pads. Granted i didnt have the baitcaster i have now with 50lb braid on it, so i might have to give it another shot. Unfortunately i dont own a boat and have to fish from shore, but i have had a few friends who fished there with a boat and swear theres no fish in there lol. Then again, they could have been fishing wrong! Great catches, im dying to catch a large mouth over 5 pounds! |

Yes they don't know how to fish there are HUGE bass in there. If you don't know what to throw it can be frustrating with the weeds. _________________ Never Stop Learning |
