Moodus Reservoir (fair, nothing over 2 lbs)?!?!

I caught two largemouth bass in Upper Moodus Reservoir that were each over three pounds, last Saturday.

MOST of the reports are actually BASED on what the fisherman tell the ramp workers and the folks who volunteer to check around in boats (they keep track of conditions and catch rates) and others are stream side! - to be honest in the past couple of years MOST reports about LILLI-CANDY-ZOAR and squanz - HAVE BEEN right on!

i am sure there are some folks THAT catch bigger fish than reported! and that is a GOOD THING - RIGHT! the DEEP has a site where anyone who fishes can also leave their reports - all in all the report is just another place for information (PRETTY MUCH LIKE A FORUM of sorts) and (LOL) just like most forums LOADED with bologa here and there!

At every tourney I fished so far this year. But as RV said their reports are based on tourney events reported by attendee's. I did read a couple of reports that included my fellow club members rather large bags they caught.

Hats off to those who unselfishly donate there time! As a future retiree I may do just that!

I swear they write some of their reports based on our reports we write in this forum. Last year when Peco and I started writing reports of Walleye being caught in Batterson it started showing up in their reports also.

Batterson - must be the place? its the only place they mentioned in their report this week! (WALLEYE are being reported from Batterson Park Pond.)

i am thinking they have some tackle shops that they in quire with also - i have noticed that other than some personal references the CT FISHERMAN reports are pretty much the same!

(LOL) lets face it if you are like me and i read folks were catching fish by the boat loads a couple of miles from my house "I WOULD BE THERE IN A HEART BEAT!

anyway maybe it's a thing going on down this way - the ramp volunteers - are on most of the big waters and even squantz at times - these folks at the ramps! are mostly checking trailers for a variety of non-native species (plants, animals, and other organisms). i have friend in our fish and game club and they started EARLY THIS YEAR - they keep records of fish also BUT NOT REALLY A DEEP LOG! - BUT a few years ago when i did some voli work with the dep we went out on a boat - AGAIN perhaps around here - we asked how is fishing - what did you catch - how would you rate your fishing today - and asked to see the lic. - I KNOW IT is still being done because they stop by to talk every week-end on lilli!

let me know when you are ready (my buddy is always asking me) - you get paid for your time - have some DEEP benefits (discounts) and get to take any deep class free and there is training for the lake ramp checking BUT my friend who is retired enjoys it! - i wouldn't n work for me right now - i am retired but still work part time and week-ends are all i have! - it would kill me to sit at the ramp and watch people go fishing!

Thanks! RV! If I could rotate my weekends due to my rotating work week I'd volunteer. I know when I worked the Brian Kershal event I was impressed as the DEEP guys weighed and measured each fish! 32 lb bags at that! Very nice group of people.

I'm definitely interested. I live near all the major western CT lakes and have days off during the week to check the outa state events in CT waters.

On another note I have weekends off in two weeks. Maybe it's time we post a few picts of our braggen's or skunks!
