My father and a friend fished around Great Island/Saybrook Point today and SLAYED the bass. Large schoolies and three keepers as well. Bellies full of 10-12" pregnant fish presumed to be shad? alewife? Fish were being taken on Husky Jerks and Soft Plastic Shad (Chartreuse Long tail) _________________ i'm a castaway with no fishing pole, and the fishing hole is just a cast away |

A keeper 20" fluke was caught and released in addition to the 20 something schoolies. _________________ i'm a castaway with no fishing pole, and the fishing hole is just a cast away |

I've been seeing adult bunker breaking on the surface in Bridgeport Harbor. A buddy from Seaside sent me a picture of 2 keepers he caught on a Yo Zuri plug. He said both had loads of "shovel heads" in their stomach. |
