Hit the river around 8ish in Orange. Not much action at the bridge, only managed one brown trout. I then headed towards the Milford side of the river for round 2 around 1 PM. Found a bridge near a residential neighborhood near the post road that was absolutely LOADED with fish. Over the span of about 2 hours I landed over 20 brown trout, 4 or 5 in the 4 - 5 lb range. Lures that produced the best were a non-pointed black and gold rapala floater and a suspending yozuri pin's minnow. Best advice I could give is find a bridge and cast into its shadow and work the lure into the sun. |

oh you were actually in Orange. Way farther north than I've been. Past the reservoir? |
