got 4 pickerel today at mono pond one was a nice 2lbs i got it on a inline spinner with my ultra light.

That 2 pounder must have given you a great fight on your UL.

I love fishing for chain pickerel. They're a fun fish and love how they come darting for the lure.

slime darts/snot rockets/Jersey Devils/Jack Fish...they fight like mad dawgs but the suck trying to unhook them..esp with trebles....

There a lot of fun to catch and you can have a great time if you find the "nest" and bang them one after another. Sucks when they cut you off and you loose your favorite bait.

Also if you find the right area of weeds where many are hanging out. Have done that at Twin Brooks Park with topwater.

I enjoy Pickerel fishing, just gotta know how to unhook them and be careful of them. Never really "targeted" them before, but went out recently trying to bag my first of the year.
