Went to Zoar today, water was 50 degrees, a buddy cought a 2 lb smallie right off the dock at the launch, then I cought a 21" trout about 100yrds south of the boat launch. Was super windy, only have a Jon boat with a trolling motor and had to row to make it back to the launch, battery was dieing tring to fight the wind. |

It's tough fishing when it's windy like that. I have not fished Zoar in about 40 years. Used to go with my dad in a small boat and troll a shiner. We used to catch some nice bass in those days. With the PCB's there I just go to Candlewood now. |

There are some decent sized smallies hanging around the launch area there. Fish it while you still can before traffic gets to be too much and the weeds grow in. |
