sevnseat, I'm a firm believer that the bass (smallmouth & largemouth) have some kind of metabolic timeclock in their brains that tells them the water is getting cooler and the days shorter. Hence they know when it is time to start stocking up (feed) for the cold winter months as everything even forage slows down during the extreme cold water months. This pattern reverses in the spring as they start feeding more as the water warms and the forage base starts to re-populate as a new year class of minnows are again swimming the waters the bass prowl. "Look for rocks" that's one hella of advice. Never seen smallmouth rivers with no rocks! _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
