I started fly fishing last thursday and caught 5 browns all about 12 inches. Not Very many people fishing. Then on friday I went back and caught my best trout on a fly rod. I hooked and landed a 23.5 inch 6 pound rainbow on a #12 haresear nymph. What a rush trying to get her in. It was like trying to pull a plywood sheet in sideways in the current. After about 15 mins I got her in with no net. I didn't think that I would without snapping the 4 pound leader or the hook popping out. That is my best trout on a fly rod. |

That a hog of a fish. Congrats. The salmon is a beauty of a river as well. Thanks for sharing. _________________ “Don't tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.” Mark Twain
