If I'm not mistaken fishing at Candy is closed until opening day. Third Sat in April!

Are the ramps that bad? I've been itching to get the new Skeeter in the water and these 50deg temps aren't helping my anxiety much!

I drove over the Stevenson Dam last week and there was ice as far as I could see. At 53 that's not very far but there was alota white where the water is supposed to be!

According to wikipedia, its open year round:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squantz_Pond_State_Park#State_park_information

I don't know this for a fact, but it's possible.

This website indicates open year round too:

Looking to take the Skeeter out but getting mixed reports on Candy! Some say the winter drawdown brought the water low enough you can walk to the island at Danbury State Park!

Anyone been up there?

This is the time of year that you should check the Connecticut Angler's Guide before fishing, NOT Wikipedia or any other random website. Laughing
